At Astar our control room features a 64 Channel Tascam DM-4800 desk, Dynaudio Core 59 and BM6A MkII monitors, outboard Neve Pre-amps for pristine vocals and Mac Pro Quad-Core processing has been designed to provide the perfect recording and listening environment. 

With such high-quality equipment and a vast array of microphones and in house backline, Astar offers the most detailed of recordings that accurately represent the source material and what the artist or band is after.

Our large live room is fully controllable and versatile, allowing both open and dry sounds to be achieved according to session requirements.

When building the studio, we acquired the services of one of the most respected acousticians in the country knowing that good acoustics are crucial when it comes to recording due to the significant impact they have on the quality and clarity of the sound. It helps in capturing the nuances, dynamics and tonal characteristics of instruments, vocals, or any audio source being recorded.

The studio’s in-house back line and instruments are of the highest professional quality and free to use. Having great instruments can help to inspire musicians and ignite their creativity, exploring new ideas, with new sounds, pushing the boundaries of their musical performance.
